Lina designs the Centro de Convivência (Centre for Living Together) for Unicamp in the old Guanabara station in Campinas, São Paulo (also with Ferraz and Suzuki, not built). She starts work on the designs of the Nova Prefeitura de São Paulo (City Council Buildings) with Vainer, Ferraz and Suzuki, comprising the restoration of the Palácio das Indústrias, and the construction of a building to replace one of the viaducts over the Parque Dom Pedro II. (The City Council moved to the restored Palace in 1992 but the demolition of the viaduct and new construction were not carried out).
