In the Second Italian Exhibition of Rational Architecture, held in Rome, Pietro Maria Bardi presents his Rapporto sull’architettura manifesto to Mussolini, advocating the adoption of rationalism as the official style of the Fascist State. Despite the Duce’s negative reaction, a space opens up for modern production in Italy.
Frank Lloyd Wright visits Brazil and is received by architects Lucio Costa and Gregori Warchavchik. A conference is held at the Escola Nacional de Belas Artes (School of Fine Arts) in Rio.
